Angel Of God Prayer
Angel of GOD,
My guardian dear
To whom GOD's love
entrusts me here
Ever this day be at my side
To light and guard,
To rule and guide.
AMEN
Every night before we tuck our little angels in bed, this prayer will be said. Thanks to the talents of my darling husband, he composed a catchy tune for this prayer and so bedtime prayer is no longer a bore for Amanda. In fact we now enjoy this quiet time with one another and encourage spontaneous prayer. I must confess that it isn't easy for my seven year old Amanda, especially since she's at the age of being extremely self-conscious about almost anything. I think the most importantly message we want to get across is to make her aware that God is very much a part of her life and whether or not she talks to God or sings to him, He'll always be there to listen to her, no matter how trivial or insignificant some thing may be.
